Relief Registered Practical Nurse Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Relief Registered Practical Nurse to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with staff and clients, assist with identifying health care goals to be included within client case plans;
- Collaborate with health care team in assessing clients’ health care needs, on an ongoing basis;
- Collaboratively and efficiently work within a multi-disciplinary team of health and social service professionals;
- Serve meals and provide snacks, keep dining room and kitchenette clean according to public health requirements;
- Work effectively within a strengths based, client-centered approach to service delivery;
- Process medication orders and consult with pharmacy as needed;
- Respond to client needs through the provision of assistance as well as help accessing program resources;
- Administer medications and appropriately document administration, according to the established guidelines of the program;
- Communicate with the Registered Nurse, when acute medical issues arise;
- Administer alcohol and appropriately document, according to the established guidelines of the program.
Requirements:
- A degree/Diploma from a recognized Nursing Program/Practical Nursing Program;
- Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
