Doctor / Nurse Practitioner Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Doctor / Nurse Practitioner to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide daily medical care for campers and staff as required;
- Be on site for daily clinic hours as established;
- Write prescriptions as required;
- Ensure that all medications are organized and prepared to return to parents during check-out;
- Ensure that appropriate care is provided to all campers and staff with medical needs;
- Diagnose medical issues and refer if necessary to local Medical Centre / Hospital;
- Assist with the general camp community as time permits;
- Be on call and prepared to participate/take a lead role in crisis management/emergency response;
- Administer medications to campers and staff as required;
- Communicate with parents/guardians any necessary information regarding campers or staff who require medical treatment;
- Maintain established policies and procedures for the Health Centre;
- Review medical forms/health history forms prior to registration day in order to discuss current and potential medical needs with parents at check-in;
- Review and possibly suggest areas to improve established policies and procedures for the Health Centre;
- Work directly with/alongside Nurse and Camper Care Assistant;
- Maintain a daily log of campers and staff who receive medical attention.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience;
- Current status with the College of Physicians of Ontario or CFP / Nurse Practitioners’ Association of Ontario (NPAO).
