Caregiver for adult Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Caregiver for adult to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Engage in physical and mental exercises;
- Assist with bathing, dressing and grooming;
- Provide medication reminders;
- Laundry and ironing;
- Light housekeeping to include dusting and vacuuming;
- Maintain calendar and organize mail;
- Companionship;
- Escort to religious services or events;
- Run errands (pickup prescriptions, dry cleaning);
- Escort on appointments (hair salon, physical therapy, etc.);
- Take out garbage;
- Assist with walking and light exercise;
- Plan and prepare meals, followed by clean-up;
- Monitor food expiration dates, make future meals;
- Make beds and change linens, as needed.
Requirements:
- Certificate of 6 months Caregiver training program OR minimum One year experience as a Caregiver for Adult is required;
- Interested applicants must have passion working with elder people and willing to commit longer term contract with flexible schedule and weekdays off;
- Completion of secondary school is required;
- Punjabi language is an asset but Basic English language is required to communicate with doctor and at other necessary departments when required.
