Our company is looking for a Cook 3 to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Setting up and breaking down work stations;
  • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment;
  • Follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards;
  • Assist in the preparation and service of all food items for a la carte andor buffet menus according to hotel recipes and standards;
  • Preparing ingredients for cooking, including chopping and storing food;
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage;
  • Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service;
  • Operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers;
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow Colleagues;
  • Other duties as assigned;
  • Preparing and cooking food according to quality standards;
  • Have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions;
  • Washing and peeling fresh fruits and vegetables;
  • Monitoring food quality during food preparation.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a high-volume restaurant and banquet kitchen environment;
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 11.5 kilograms (25 pounds) without assistance;
  • Fluent English language skills;
  • Must be efficient and good knowledge of food safety practices;
  • Frequent bending, standing and walking for extended periods of time required;
  • 1-2 years of experience in the culinary industry;
  • Food Safe certification required;
  • High school diploma / G.E.D. equivalent and culinary education;
  • Good knowledge and skills in todays trends.
