Our company is looking for a Cook 3 to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Setting up and breaking down work stations;
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment;
- Follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards;
- Assist in the preparation and service of all food items for a la carte andor buffet menus according to hotel recipes and standards;
- Preparing ingredients for cooking, including chopping and storing food;
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage;
- Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service;
- Operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers;
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow Colleagues;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Preparing and cooking food according to quality standards;
- Have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions;
- Washing and peeling fresh fruits and vegetables;
- Monitoring food quality during food preparation.
Requirements:
- Ability to work in a high-volume restaurant and banquet kitchen environment;
- Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 11.5 kilograms (25 pounds) without assistance;
- Fluent English language skills;
- Must be efficient and good knowledge of food safety practices;
- Frequent bending, standing and walking for extended periods of time required;
- 1-2 years of experience in the culinary industry;
- Food Safe certification required;
- High school diploma / G.E.D. equivalent and culinary education;
- Good knowledge and skills in todays trends.
