Cook 2 Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Cook 2 to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring food quality during food preparation;
- Washing and peeling fresh fruits and vegetables;
- Preparing and cooking food according to quality standards;
- Operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers;
- Perform other duties as assigned;
- Preparing ingredients for cooking, including chopping and storing food;
- Setting up and breaking down work stations.
Requirements:
- Food Safe certification required;
- High school diploma / G.E.D. equivalent;
- Frequent bending, standing and walking for extended periods of time required;
- One year of experience as a 3rd cook in a hotel or restaurant;
- Fluent English language skills;
- Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 11.5 kilograms (25 pounds) without assistance;
- Good understanding of restaurant, room service and banquet procedures.
