Pulpmill Shift Supervisor Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Pulpmill Shift Supervisor to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Supervising employees to ensure all operating parameters and procedures are followed;
- Ensuring chemical usage is optimized;
- Ensuring minimum staffing requirements to maintain operations;
- Ensuring maximum usage of equipment;
- Regular monitoring of pulp quality;
- Record events of the shift on the Tour Super Report;
- Ensure all environmental legal requirements and centre-lining standards are followed by;
- Ensure all services are in compliance with company principles and guidelines, and all applicable federal and provincial legislations;
- Replacing personnel calling in sick;
- Use all troubleshooting tools available to detect and correct operational or quality problems;
- Ensuring corrective actions are taken to maintain quality;
- Ensure the mill is operated safely and according to all laws and policies;
- Writing maintenance work orders to ensure they are scheduled in the maintenance plan.
Requirements:
- Pulp and Paper Experience (asset);
- Experience managing unionized people (asset);
- Supervisory experience.
