Head of Production Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Head of Production to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Knowledge and a solid understanding what our competitors do and why is an asset in this role;
- Lead the measurement and improvement of feature adoption and market penetration for new and existing product features to maximize value proposition.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of successfully training employees in productivity and safety;
- Proven 10+ years’ experience in manufacturing operations with at least 7 years in a management capacity a must;
- Must possess exceptional time and change management skills and be able to work towards tight deadlines;
- Working knowledge of OSHA and ESA and GMP standards and regulations preferred;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff. * Flexibility is a must;
- Ability to create and monitor KPIs to accurately forecast daily/weekly/monthly production targets to meet production demands;
- Minimum of a Bachelors’ degree a must with lean manufacturing training and experience preferred;
- Budget, cost and profitability management skills;
- 10+ years of experience building and running product organizations;
- Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology Business or related degree;
- Resilience and resourcefulness;
- Team Leadership & Development: Ability to mentor, coach and effectively transfer expertise to others;
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to juggle multiple goals and deadlines in the context of the big picture;
- Solid understanding of Agile practices and running product teams;
- Knowledge of resource management tools.
