Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine layout and framing requirements
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge
- Install metal stud framing and furring for interior walls, partitions, and ceilings
- Install horizontal and vertical metal studs to form wall framing
- Install metal tracks and channels for ceilings and floorings
- Fasten metal frames and channels to building materials using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Ensure that all framing work is done according to the building codes and safety standards
- Communicate with other construction workers to ensure efficient and safe work practices
