Our company is looking for a Shop Laborer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Miscellaneous tasks as they arise;
- Assist mechanics as needed;
- Assist yard foreman as needed;
- Cleaning shop equipment;
- Minor equipment maintenance – under the mechanics supervision;
- Order shop supplies;
- Working under the supervision of the shop foreman;
- Assist with shipping and receiving as needed;
- Cleaning and maintaining a clean shop.
Requirements:
- Must be conscientious of quality control for finished products, specifically with sheets of metal such as stainless steel, copper, brass, etc;
- Must have an team spirit to accomplish final goals and work cooperatively with others;
- High School Diploma;
- Attention to detail is essential;
- Must have good common sense;
- Experience in a welding workshop would be an asset;
- Must be flexible to work on various tasks as required;
- Must have a valid driver’s license;
- Individual must be safety oriented;
- Individual must be conscientious and reliable;
- High School diploma preferred although not mandatory;
- Able to take and follow instructions;
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
- Willing to work in outside and inside environments.
