Residential and Commercial Roofer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Residential and Commercial Roofer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct post-installation maintenance;
- Under supervision of management, prepare and present construction specifications and schedules as per target timetable and budget;
- Initial evaluation of site to determine specifics, including condition and damage, timeframe, materials, costs, design;
- Prepare and mark targeted surfaces (perimeter flashing, PVC membrane, curbs, cones, pitch pockets);
- Cater to clients who need repair or renovation services due to damaged roofings (water, snow, trees);
- Guide and mentor new workers on the job, if necessary;
- Install transitions and intricate patterns as per customer requests (roof vents, skylights, chimneys, etc);
- Ensure that timetables and construction specifications are followed as per contract;
- Clean up after job completion and identify post-consumer waste recyclables with client’s permission;
- Conduct moisture, PH and climate testing prior to installation;
- Initial assessment of floor premises to ensure that roof condition can withstand the process.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience working as residential and commercial roofer specializing low-rise and high-rise properties;
- Good English proficiency;
- Secondary Diploma, apprenticeship certificate is an asset.
