Our company is looking for a Logistics Supervisor – Transportation to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily routes/schedules of shipments and deliveries;
  • Establish work schedules and procedures;
  • Know all aspects of warehouse operations;
  • First point of contact on all equipment-related issues, both on-site and off-site;
  • Plan, arrange and supervise operational logistics of the company and co-ordinate activities with other units;
  • Identify enhancement opportunities and suggest solutions for improvement to top management;
  • Coordinate, assign and review work;
  • Track the progress of shipments;
  • Supervise a team of 10-15 people (transportation route and crew schedulers, shippers and receivers, purchasing and inventory clerks);
  • Review inventory needs and keeping adequate stock;
  • Support simplification and standardization of supply-chain processes to accelerate logistics and enhance efficiencies;
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are followed;
  • Supervise team to develop, articulate and maintain logistic process documentation;
  • Lead training, hiring, career development and enrichment of all department associates;
  • Prepare and submit various reports.

Requirements:

  • Ensure quality of services and process;
  • Analytical, organizational and customer service skills;
  • Dispatch truck drivers and monitor routes;
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair work as required;
  • Ensure adherence to rules and regulations;
  • Ensure health and safety rules are followed;
  • Prepare reports and keep all records updated;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Establish work schedules and procedures;
  • Order materials, equipment and supplies;
  • Ability to meet short deadlines and to be detail-oriented and organized;
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in overall logistics and supply chain procedures;
  • Able to communicate in English language;
  • Excellent understanding of International Freight procedures;
  • Secondary Diploma.
