Exterior and Interior Wall Plasterer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Exterior and Interior Wall Plasterer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Apply metal corners to ensure the security of installed walls,
- When necessary, assist and coach installers in locating, adjusting and applying the sheets at appropriate places,
- Assess and measure walls square footage to successfully define the need for application materials,
- Combine and blend specific plaster mixtures and apply the layers from the inside or outside of the siding-clad walls,
- Work with taping machines, brushes, floats, spraying and other equipment to complete projects successfully and in a timely manner,
- Finish plastered wall surfaces and fix any faults and defects on the walls and corners,
- Prepare aluminum and vinyl wall materials for installers by cutting them into even or custom sheets,
- Oversee application of wood stud and wood sheathing and siding materials outside of the installed walls, when necessary,
- Apply mixed compounds to fill joints, seams, cracks and holes and smooth them out on finished surfaces,
- Coach other finishers, plasterers and apprentices on the above-listed duties;
- Prepare and apply custom designed décor materials on exterior house walls,
Requirements:
- Understanding of wall installation systems and techniques is required,
- High school diploma AND construction related post-secondary education or trade certificate,
- Advanced knowledge and previous experience applying décor materials to exterior walls,
- Great time and stress management skills, strong attention to detail and manual dexterity;
- Completed apprenticeship related to plastering or wall installation would be an asset,
