Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and measurements of the drywall installation
  • Measure, cut and fit drywall panels to the appropriate size and shape
  • Install drywall panels using hand and power tools
  • Prepare and sand drywall seams to ensure they are smooth and even
  • Apply tape and joint compound to seams and screw holes to create a seamless appearance
  • Repair or replace damaged drywall panels
  • Clean and maintain tools and equipment used in the installation process
  • Ensure that all work areas are kept clean and free of debris

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a drywall installer
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and practices
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Familiarity with different types of drywall and their applications
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions
