Responsibilities:

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications to determine the layout, formwork, and dimensions of concrete structures.
  • Measuring and marking cutting lines on materials, using a ruler, chalk, and marking gauge.
  • Mixing and pouring concrete into forms or molds, using hand tools, power tools, or machines.
  • Finishing concrete surfaces by smoothing and leveling them with trowels and other tools.
  • Installing anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete.
  • Repairing, resurfacing, and replacing worn or damaged concrete surfaces and structures.
  • Operating and maintaining power tools and equipment, such as concrete saws, drills, and grinders.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and guidelines, and wearing personal protective equipment as required.

Requirements:

  • Physical strength and stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools required for masonry work
  • Knowledge of different types of concrete, their properties, and the ability to mix and apply them
  • Experience in building and installing concrete structures such as walls, floors, and stairs
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with precision to ensure high-quality work
  • Good communication skills to work effectively with other team members and clients
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and at heights
