Concrete Carpenters shape and build structures like floors, walls, and frames using concrete and wooden materials. Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, measuring and cutting materials, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.
- Follow blueprints and building plans to meet the needs of clients.
- Shape or cut materials to specified measurements using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
- Install structures and fixtures, such as windows and molding.
- Adjust and align precast units and anchor them with clamps, bolts, and dowels.
- Use various hand and power tools to smooth out surfaces and ensure a level finish.
- Apply sealants or other protective coatings to surfaces as necessary.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in concrete carpentry
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics
- Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools, including saws, drills, and grinders
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to concrete work
- Physical stamina and strength to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy materials
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to work outdoors and in variable weather conditions
