Responsibilities:

  • Counsel individuals and provide them with emotional support
  • Assess clients' needs, abilities, or behavior using a variety of methods, including interviews, tests, and standardized evaluations
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge
  • Collaborate with other professionals to evaluate clients' medical or physical condition and to assess client needs
  • Refer clients to other specialists, institutions, or support services as necessary
  • Maintain confidentiality of records relating to clients' treatment
  • Observe and evaluate clients' performance, behavior, social development, and physical health
  • Participate in continuing education activities to improve knowledge and skills

Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills to effectively listen and communicate with clients
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to analyze clients' situations and provide appropriate advice
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism
  • Knowledge of counseling principles and techniques, as well as the ability to apply them in practice
  • Empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental attitude towards clients to build trust and rapport
  • Good organizational and time-management skills to keep track of client appointments and maintain accurate records
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, collaborating with other professionals as needed
  • A degree or certification in counseling or a related field, and relevant work experience in counseling or therapy
