Our company is looking for a Trade Compliance Specialist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing industry and regulatory updates and preparing information for sharing with internal and external customers;
  • Other assigned tasks including training new employees etc;
  • Working with internal stakeholders to provide expertise on cross border inquiries;
  • Working with Purolator customers to simplify cross border shipping. This includes travelling to customer location for onsite meetings and consultation;
  • Building and maintaining client product database;
  • Responding to external inquiries from customers and other brokers.

Requirements:

  • CCS, CTCS, LCB or equivalent certification;
  • Must be fluent in both offical languages (French and English);
  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • High Proficiency on MS Office applications;
  • College Degree – Certification from a recognized institution. Membership in professional institution that promotes continuous learning is an asset;
  • Extensive knowledge of the HTSUS and tariff classifications and rating;
  • Expert knowledge of the Customs Clearance process;
  • Extensive knowledge of US Customs regulations (19CFR);
  • More than 5 years’ experience working it the customs brokerage industry.
