Our company is looking for a Senior Learning & Development Specialist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop effective project plans to facilitate the building of learning programs and curriculum to close gaps identified;
  • Deliver and facilitate training via live classroom, onsite training, web/video conference and one-on-one training;
  • Lead the continuous improvement and engagement of our LMS learning modules, ensuring that the system continues to address business needs;
  • Work with tight deadlines and provide valuable input on projects to enhance and customize training processes that exceed operational needs;
  • Provide follow-up coaching, ongoing support and refresher training as required;
  • Assist in managing training vendor relations and services as needed;
  • Ensure employee engagement through a variety of training methodologies including in-class, virtual, and 1-on-1 training;
  • Evaluate training needs, identify gaps and develop learning strategies and training plans;
  • Participate in any special projects identified by Management;
  • Play a pivotal role in championing the development of training programs to cultivate sustainable, high-performing teams;
  • Champion all onboarding and training needs;
  • Work closely with the engineering team leads and SMEs to develop appropriate technical onboarding and training programs;
  • Promote the use of creative and efficient instructional design processes by being aware of industry trends and tools within learning and development;
  • Create, prepare and continuously improve the learning and development material;
  • Perform tasks such as training room preparation, student enrollment, and recording performance result s.

Requirements:

  • Advanced experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS);
  • Strong project management skills; able to identify needs, develop effective solutions and manage projects through to completion;
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to train different audiences effectively;
  • Proven problem solving and decision-making capability;
  • Excellent organizational skills, high attention to quality, detail and accuracy, combined with the ability to manage multiple high priority tasks;
  • Experience with graphic design and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro etc.) is an asset;
  • Post-secondary diploma/degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and G Suite;
  • Professional Instructional Design/Training Certificate or CTDP designation is an asset;
  • Experience creating and managing learning programs;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with business units;
  • Flexibility to adapt to an ever-changing environment. The ability to work on technical projects that often change in scale and schedule;
  • Experience working with both LMS and KMS systems;
  • Exceptional facilitative and written/verbal communication skills in English and French;
  • Absolute integrity, discretion and sensitivity to confidential company and employee information.
