Project Manager Construction Services Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Project Manager Construction Services to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and create project documents, schedule and budgets;
- Coordinate and assist site superintendents with general project management;
- Obtain product and material related documentation for consultant or customer;
- Obtain written approval of all change orders and extras etc;
- Review and source possible cost savings;
- Ensure completion of deficiency items;
- Ensure expenses are properly allocated;
- Obtain and issue all warranty documentation from suppliers and sub contractors;
- Attend weekly/biweekly project meetings with the client and the engineer. Manage all action items that arise in these meetings;
- Seek out opportunities for additional work on existing projects;
- Document and record extras and change orders etc;
- Visit site as required to insure schedule, budget and quality;
- Review and approve supplier invoices;
- Work with purchasing to issue subcontractor and supplier purchase orders;
- Review general site conditions for safety and cleanliness etc.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated project management skills;
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations;
- Three years of experience in a management role and five years of experience in a related industry;
- A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills;
- Degree or diploma in a related field;
- Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands;
- Ability to create realistic schedules to support the timely completion of construction maintenance projects;
- Position-relevent bonding and certifications;
- Proven experience preparing and conducting post-implementation evaluations;
- Demonstrated ability to exercise necessary cost control measures.
