Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the lighting, compositing, and modeling teams to develop and maintain efficient and effective pipelines for the production of high-quality visual effects
- Design, implement and customize tools and scripts to automate processes, optimize workflow, and increase efficiency of the production pipeline
- Monitor and troubleshoot the pipeline to identify and resolve issues and bottlenecks before they impact production
- Work closely with the production team to manage priorities, deadlines, and resources, and ensure the pipeline meets the project's needs
- Research and evaluate new technologies and techniques to improve the pipeline and stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
- Provide technical support and training to other members of the pipeline team and other departments, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to use the pipeline effectively
- Document and maintain the pipeline code, tools, and processes to ensure consistency, reliability, and scalability
- Collaborate with the pipeline supervisor and other pipeline TDs to plan and execute pipeline-related projects and initiatives
Requirements:
- - Minimum of 2 years of experience in pipeline TD or related field
- - Strong understanding of Python, Maya, and Nuke
- - Experience in creating and maintaining pipeline tools for VFX production
- - Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues related to pipeline tools and workflows
- - Knowledge of industry-standard APIs and libraries such as PyQt, PySide, and OpenCV
- - Familiarity with version control systems such as Git or SVN
- - Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other departments
- - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Digital Art, or related field preferred
