Our company is looking for a Junior Technical Artist to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Create all sorts of rigging solutions for environmental assets and character bodies and faces;
  • Collaborate effectively with other team disciplines, predominantly animation, character art, and code;
  • Bring innovation and resolution to technical problems and challenges throughout production;
  • Interact closely with animators and technical artists to maintain and improve our proprietary animation tools;
  • Demonstrate creativity and technical ability within the constraints of console development.

Requirements:

  • Strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a self-directed manner and to make timely, well-thought out decisions;
  • Advanced knowledge of 3D Studio Max and/or Maya;
  • A demo reel which demonstrates exceptional skill in skinning human figure game assets for animation, both body and faces;
  • Excellent understanding of development workflows as they relate to getting character and animation assets into game engines;
  • Positive, solution-oriented individual with a passion for game development;
  • Understanding of human body and facial anatomy as it relates to game assets and topology;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to work closely in a team setting with other departments;
  • Knowledge of Houdini is a definite plus;
  • Experience in scripting and programming languages (Python, C#, WPF etc.).
