Responsibilities:

  • Design and analyze structural components and systems in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure the integration of structural systems with building requirements.
  • Prepare detailed designs, drawings, and specifications using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Conduct structural calculations and simulations to evaluate the safety, reliability, and performance of structural systems.
  • Review and approve shop drawings, submittals, and other project documentation to ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Perform site visits to assess existing structures, collect data, and monitor construction progress.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to project teams, clients, and contractors.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to structural design and construction.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in structural design and analysis of buildings and/or infrastructure
  • Proficiency in using structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, or similar
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, and local codes
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
