An Intermediate Mechanical Engineer designs, develops, and tests all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery. Responsibilities include applying knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical systems, equipment and machinery, including HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems
- Conduct and participate in engineering studies, including feasibility studies, life cycle cost analysis, and risk assessments
- Prepare detailed engineering reports and technical specifications
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards and regulations
- Provide technical support to project teams, including contractors and clients
- Review and approve design drawings and calculations
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and co-op students
- Conduct field inspections and commissioning activities
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering field
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Proficient in CAD software and other engineering tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Experience in designing, testing, and analyzing mechanical systems
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations
