Software Tester – Cloud Applications Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Software Tester – Cloud Applications to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and knowledge transfer in specialized areas of Software and testing to QA team members;
- Load and performance testing of applications;
- Works closely with other team members to ensure that timelines for software/system deliverables are achieved;
- Take a planned and self-directed exploratory approach to testing;
- Testing fixed bugs to determine if they are valid and complete;
- Communicate status, findings, and progress on a regular basis;
- Hunting for bugs in the software, investigating problems, finding their root cause, and clearly documenting findings into the defect tracking system;
- Continue to expand technical knowledge and professional development;
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- You have a hands-on approach with ability to deliver to commitments;
- Experience with Firebug or Google Chrome Developer tools to open up web pages is critical;
- You have understanding of performance testing tools like JMeter;
- Web security testing using Burb Suite or similar web application security tools is desirable;
- Experience with leading Cloud platforms like AWS, GCP or Azure is required;
- TeamCity or other continuous integration tools is desirable;
- You like a good challenge and have a passion to learn new things;
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience is required;
- 4+ years of experience of testing enterprise cloud-based application;
- Experience with SoapUI or Postman for SOA testing is critical.
