Our company is looking for a ocean – assistant chief housekeeper to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- TRAINING;
- Able to work day or night shift as assigned;
- Inspect Public areas back and front of house;
- Interact with guest and employee in a professional and positive manner;
- Perform other duties as assigned by Executive Housekeeper;
- Carry out daily pre-shift briefing and ensure Team are in their assign section and start service in due time;
- Demonstrate professionalism and be a good role model for subordinates;
- Ensure all housekeeping areas meet VOC standards;
- Follow up and keep track of all special cleaning matrix such as: cleaning of curtains, carpet shampoo, furniture, shower head sanitation etc;
- Ensuring MLC compliance;
- Participate in inventory;
- Operate in line with all USPH, Environmental, Safety and Security Policy;
- Inform Executive Housekeeper of any guest related issues to be followed up by Management;
- Complete the weekly general supply requisition and submit to the Executive Housekeeper for approval;
- Prepare for USPH inspection and participate during regular ship inspection.
Requirements:
- Experience in Human Resources procedures;
- Able to work under pressure;
- Strong knowledge of sanitary procedures;
- Hospitality or Business Management Degree or industry related experience;
- Able to walk and stand during long hours and work night shift;
- Experience in managing Public areas and Deck;
- Excellent English oral and written, additional European language recommended;
- Keen eye for cleanliness and attention to details;
- Minimum two years Housekeeping management experience on ships or hotels of 400+ room;
- Able to explain various housekeeping chemicals, equipment and their usage;
- Computer skills necessary (Word, Excel, Fidelio, Espresso);
- Knowledge of floor care equipment and maintenance;
- Excellent Guest interaction skills;
- Management experience working with a multinational Staff/Crew.
