Bayshore Broadcasting is a proudly independent group of 9 radio stations serving southern and central Ontario, along the Lake Huron shoreline from Grand Bend to Muskoka. Since 1940, our goal has been the same: serving our local communities with authentic, entertaining, and relevant content that makes a difference in the lives of our listeners.

We’re looking for our next Director of Programming : someone who truly loves local radio, sees its potential, and is ready to make a meaningful mark on the industry. This role is about more than having one great idea – it’s about bringing curiosity, creativity, positive energy and fresh thinking to everything we do. You’ll work with our talented team to help them meet the needs of today’s audience, and then connect our advertisers with that audience in both traditional and new ways.

Your day-to-day work will be varied, creative, challenging, and above all: fun! Your job will include:

· Coaching, inspiring, and developing our on-air talent

· Leading music and programming strategy

· Creating strong connections with our listeners through outreach, promotions, and community involvement

· Extending content beyond the airwaves to our social channels, websites, and more

· Finding new ways to grow audiences and deliver value to advertisers

+ Using new tools and technology to help do all of the above better, easier, and faster

This isn’t a desk job. You’ll spend time in all of our markets with all of our teams: building relationships, sharing ideas, and leading by example. How hands-on you get will depend on where your unique skills and experience fit the best – we want this position to suit you as well as you suit us.

As a small, independent broadcaster, you can be sure that every single person that you’ll work with here believes that there is a future for radio. But what will it sound like? What will it look like? How will people consume it? And how will we stay in business doing it?
