The Department of Anaesthesia at Niagara Health seeks highly motivated physicians with a passion for providing the highest quality care.

Niagara Health is a regional healthcare provider serving over 450,000 residents across Niagara, including regional anesthesia services for surgical suites, endoscopy, obstetrics, and chronic interventional pain management. The Anesthesia Department supports the Anesthesia Care Team model with assistance from AAs and enhanced care nursing, offers robust in‑house CME programs, research opportunities, simulation labs, teaching and mentoring of medical students, residents, nurses, AAs, and RTs, ensures regional standardization with state‑of‑the‑art anesthesia equipment, and supports physicians in career development including job share and cross‑appointment opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care across surgical suites, endoscopy, obstetrics, and interventional pain management.
• Assist the Anesthesia Care Team model with AAs and enhanced care nursing.
• Participate in and support in‑house CME, research activities, and simulation training.
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, nurses, AAs, and RTs.
• Maintain regional standardization with state‑of‑the‑art anesthesia equipment.
• Engage in career development opportunities, including job share and cross‑appointment options.

Requirements

• Independent license or eligibility for independent license with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
• Eligibility to work in Canada without restrictions.
