Senior Financial Analyst

About:
Join a well-established, privately held manufacturing organization operating in a multi-entity environment, where finance plays a key role in supporting strategic decision-making and maintaining strong reporting integrity. This role offers broad exposure across accounting, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration in a hands-on setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate monthly and year-end financial statements, including supporting schedules and working papers
- Perform detailed variance and profitability analysis, delivering clear insights to support business decisions
- Support the month-end close process through journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and investigation of variances
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning cycles with meaningful analysis and reporting
- Ensure compliance with ASPE, with involvement in US GAAP considerations for cross-border reporting and technical matters
- Partner with internal teams across operations to enhance financial reporting quality and strengthen processes
- Act as a subject matter expert on financial systems, supporting testing, upgrades, and reporting improvements
- Drive continuous improvement by documenting processes, enhancing workflows, and supporting special projects
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field
- 3+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis and/or accounting
- Strong knowledge of ASPE in a private-company environment; US GAAP exposure is an asset
- CPA designation (or in progress) preferred
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems
