Our client, is seeking an experienced, highly analytical Data Solutions Developer V (Senior Power BI Lead) to support a critical Capital Measurement Reporting (CMR) Data Modernization program.

In this high-visibility business intelligence role, you will focus on delivering trusted, well-governed, and regulator-ready analytics supporting capital reporting, risk metrics, Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA), and executive decision-making. Working closely with Risk, Finance, Regulatory Reporting, and Data Engineering teams, you will modernize enterprise reporting platforms, optimize semantic models, and translate complex capital datasets into clear, auditable visualizations aligned with regulatory frameworks (e.g., Basel). The ideal candidate pairs 8+ years of deep technical mastery in Power BI, DAX, Power Query (M code), and SQL with a proven ability to drive data storytelling, process mapping, and workflow automation for senior management.

Duration: 6-Month Contract (with high potential for extension)

Responsibilities
Capital & Risk Reporting Analytics
Dashboard & Report Engineering: Design and develop enterprise Power BI dashboards and reports supporting Capital Measurement, RWA, Risk Exposure, and Finance metrics.

Data Storytelling & Drill-Downs: Translate complex capital and risk datasets into clear, business-friendly visualizations enabling executive storytelling and drill-downs from high-level enterprise summaries to granular exposure layers.

DAX & Semantic Modeling: Build optimized semantic models (star schema) and author complex DAX measures for capital calculations, aggregations, trend analysis, and period-over-period comparisons.

ETL, Governance & Power Platform Automation
Data Transformation & SQL: Utilize Power Query (M code) and advanced SQL queries to support ETL, data profiling, source-to-target reconciliation, and pipeline transformation requirements.

Power BI Service Management: Administer Power BI Service environments, including workspace architecture, dataset governance, automated refresh schedules, and row-level access controls.

Workflow Automation & Documentation: Leverage Power Automate to streamline reporting workflows and validation checks; produce audit-ready technical documentation, data lineage maps, and model validation artifacts.

Stakeholder Alignment: Partner with internal Risk, Finance, and Data Engineering teams to gather requirements, validate outputs, and maintain data consistency across upstream risk engines and financial systems.

Qualifications
Power BI & Report Development: 8+ years of dedicated professional experience designing, building, and deploying enterprise Power BI reports and dashboards.

DAX & Power Query (M Code) Depth: 8+ years of hands-on experience authoring complex DAX measures and advanced Power Query (M code) data transformations.

SQL & Data Modeling Mastery: 8+ years of strong SQL query development experience paired with deep expertise in dimensional data modeling (star schema, conformed dimensions).

Process Mapping & Documentation: 8+ years of experience conducting process mapping, data lineage tracing, and authoring comprehensive technical documentation.

Data Storytelling: 8+ years of experience transforming complex numeric datasets into clear visual narratives for executive leadership.

Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong stakeholder engagement skills, coachable learner's mindset, and a strong drive to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Preferred Assets & Nice-to-Haves
Hands-on experience with Python for data manipulation and analytics scripting.
