Our activities in North America include wellsite & operations geology; petroleum engineering; seismic project management & data processing, oversight and interpretation; environmental monitoring, environmental impact assessments; protected species observation, passive acoustic monitoring and industry training. Internationally, RPS provides advice on the development of natural resources, land and property, management of the environment, and the health and safety of people, and includes advice to professional bodies, NOCs and international aid agencies.

Our Calgary based management team is looking for experienced Wellsite Geologists (Canada) to support its growing client base that is operating in the WCSB. This role requires expertise in onshore drilling environments.

· Exceptional sample petrography and interpretation skills with respect to wellbore placement (geosteering) in reservoir to achieve client objectives

· Understanding of formation evaluation, drilling, and petrophysical data

· Experience drilling horizontal wells in the Mannville Group heavy oil formations (Clearwater, McMurray, Sparky, Lloydminster, etc.), Deep Basin, and Southern Alberta (Brooks area) will be considered an asset

· Candidates highly proficient using StarSteer preferred for remote and field-based projects

· Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Geology

RPS offers industry leading rates and steady rotations on long term projects with guaranteed payment within 30 days of invoice. Wellsight Systems software keys are provided for all projects.

This is a contract and day rate position. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Out of country candidates will not be considered.
