Position Overview
We are seeking a licensed Pipefitter/Steamfitter to join a high-performing maintenance team in a modern manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial piping systems while ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
- Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial piping systems.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, piping diagrams, technical drawings, and manufacturer specifications.
- Install and maintain steam, process, wastewater, heating, cooling, compressed air, gas, and high-pressure piping systems.
- Install and maintain instrumentation and control systems.
- Coordinate repairs and preventative maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
- Accurately document maintenance work in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Support and mentor Pipefitter apprentices as required.
- Collaborate with maintenance, production, and other skilled trades to achieve operational goals.
Qualifications
- Valid Certificate of Qualification (306A or 307A) as a Pipefitter/Steamfitter.
- Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program.
- Candidates with significant post-certification experience may also be considered.
- Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial piping systems.
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and piping schematics.
Experience with:
- Steam systems
- High-pressure piping
- Process piping
- Heating and cooling systems
- Compressed air and gas systems
- Instrumentation and controls
- Steam systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including days, afternoons, and nights.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in an automotive or industrial manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and CMMS software.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on safety and operational excellence.
