The successful candidate will possess a clear vision for student learning, a commitment to collaborative leadership, a solid understanding of school improvement processes, and sensitivity to community needs.

A Principal is required at F.P. Walshe School, located in Fort Macleod, Alberta, a grades 6-12 school with approximately 400 students. The desired qualifications include the following:

• Master's Degree (or in process)
• Permanent Alberta Teaching Certificate, or eligibly for same
• Commitment to establishing positive working relationships with parents and community partners
• Willingness to explore innovative approaches to learning
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• An understanding of and a commitment to an inclusive learning environment
• The capacity to provide collaborative leadership in an environment of change
• Exceptional organizational skills and a high degree of flexibility
• A student centered approach to learning
• In depth knowledge of and experience with current assessment practices
• An understanding of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience. The position will Commence on August 25, 2025.
