Process Engineer (EIT) - Nanticoke

What role you will play in our team

 

The Process Engineer supports one of our specialized teams within the refinery operations, including Process Engineering, Applications & Systems, or Environmental Engineering. You will work closely with integrated teams to support day-to-day operations and long-term initiatives, ensuring safe, reliable, and environmentally compliant operations. .

 

What you will do

 

Responsibilities may include:

  • Collaborate with operations, reliability, and automation engineers to support safe and reliable unit operation.
  • Identify, develop, and implement operational and facility improvements focusing on safety, reliability, economics, and sustainability.
  • Communicate the status of unit operations, improvement opportunities, and operating costs to various stakeholders.
  • Support routine energy, environmental, and cost reporting
  • Influence others and drive toward solutions without direct authority
  • Develop new applications and maintain the performance of existing ones.
  • Support software/database requirements.

 

About you

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Process Control, Computer Science, or Environmental Engineering from a Canadian Accredited University 
  • Your most recent unofficial transcript(s) must be submitted with your application
  • Demonstrated leadership and strong academic skills

     

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

  • Previous refinery, chemical Plant or closely related engineering experience is an asset.
  • High degree of analytical and technical ability, able to communicate complex technical data clearly.
  • Strong attention to detail with handling high quantity and quality of work
  • Ability to effectively influence others without authority
  • Strong Interpersonal effectiveness
  • A valid driver's license and safe driving record are required

  • Competitive vacation and earned days off (EDO) package - provides you with three weeks of vacation (the first year is pro-rated based on your hiring date). In addition, under our EDO program, employees take off one scheduled Friday per month and up to two floating EDO days (depending on work location and start date during the year) annually for use at your discretion with approval.
  • The expected annual salary range for this position is $93,500 - $111,000. Individual pay will be determined based on various factors, which may include skills, abilities, qualifications, work experience, and education.
