ARAMARK is looking for a First Cook for the Némiscau camp, Baie-James

Aramark offers a 14/14 work rotation.

Transportation is provided by plane from the airports of Montreal, Quebec City, Bagotville, and Rouyn-Noranda.

Employees are provided with meals, individual lodging, and access to washer and dryer facilities.

Position: First Cook
Location: Hydro-Québec, Némiscau, Baie-James
Salary: $26,48/hour

The schedule is 70 hours per week; after 55 hours, overtime is paid at time and a half.

Job Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of foods following production guidelines and standardized recipes.
• Prepare the daily menu.
• Manage kitchen activities (staff, inventory, ordering as needed).
• Respond effectively to operational needs.
• Set up the workstation with all required ingredients and equipment. Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, cutting, and peeling food items.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude with guests, consumers, clients, colleagues, etc.
• Ensure high quality food services and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.

Qualifications

• Preferably hold a culinary vocational diploma (DEP) or equivalent experience.
• 3 to 4 years of experience in food service or restaurant operations.
• Strong culinary foundation is an asset.
• Experience in remote camp environments is an asset.
• MAPAQ certification.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene and sanitation programs.
• Adhere to established safety regulations.
