“Supply chain specialist – procurement” to join our distribution centre/business. Satkartar

JOB TITLE: Supply Chain Specialist – Procurement
JOB LOCATION: 2726 Slough Street, Mississauga, ON, L4T 1G3 (1 Vacancy)
JOB TYPE: Regular
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent; Full-time
ANTICIPATED START DATE: As soon as Possible
SALARY: $36.50 per Hour
HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT: 30 to 35 Hours/Week
WORK SETTING: Distribution Centre/ Office

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Conduct market analysis, evaluate procurement risks, prepare supply forecasts and
sourcing scenarios, and develop reports with strategic recommendations related to
supply chain operations.
 Identify and implement cost-saving and process improvement opportunities within
procurement and supply chain activities.
 Perform research and provide input on the financial and sourcing components of
procurement contracts and vendor agreements.
 Utilize organizational purchasing power to negotiate competitive pricing, identify
new suppliers, minimize lead times, and ensure continuity of supply.
 Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with existing and prospective
suppliers, vendors, and business partners to support procurement objectives.
 Communicate, implement, and enforce purchasing policies and procedures by
providing guidance and training to team members, while monitoring and overseeing

the execution of procurement and purchasing activities to ensure compliance and
operational efficiency.
 Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding procurement and supply chain
requirements, clarify specifications, and provide relevant information and support as
needed.

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Experience
 At least 1 to 2 years of previous experience in the position or related position

Education
 College Diploma in related field is required

Skills & Attributes
 Well-organized, effective interpersonal skills, Team player, client focus, Accurate,
excellent written and oral communication skills, fluent in English and flexibility.
 Well-organized and skilled approach to customer-service, writing and presentation
skills
 Working knowledge of MS office, MS access, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS
windows, and outlook
 Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
 Fluent in English and strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills
 Ability to supervise 3 to 4 people
 Organized, flexible, reliable, effective interpersonal skills
 Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, and attention to
details
