Remote Software Engineer II, Backend Development

Join Affirm as a Software Engineer II and contribute to innovative backend solutions from anywhere. Help build a lifecycle-orchestrator service central to our architecture. You will be part of the Merchant & Partner Lifecycle team, acting as a technical leader with over 3 years of backend engineering experience. This role will require you to design scalable systems, collaborate with engineering managers, and automate processes using cutting-edge tools. Your work will help modernize our infrastructure and enhance overall system performance. Key Responsibilities:

• Design robust backend systems to handle large-scale operations
• Coordinate with teams to ensure project alignment
• Implement technical strategies for complex backend challenges

Requirements:

• At least 3 years of experience in backend development
• Skilled in Kotlin, Python, AWS, and gRPC
• Understanding of distributed systems and API design
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant practical experience
