Engineering Technician II

- Knowledge of municipal engineering, infrastructure, land development, surveying, drafting, construction practices, and applicable standards and regulations.
- The ability to interpret and apply municipal bylaws, engineering standards, policies, and procedures.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical information clearly and work effectively with employees, contractors, agencies, and the public.
- Experience with project planning and management, including contract documents, cost estimates, and preliminary budgets.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, GIS, Microsoft Office, and other relevant computer applications.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate, efficient work and manage multiple priorities.
Required Qualifications
- Senior Secondary School education supplemented by completion of two-year program in civil engineering technology.
- Minimum of five years related municipal/civil engineering experience.
- Applied Science Technologist Certificate with ASTTBC.
- Valid BC Driver's License — Class 5
This is a CUPE position, and the full rate of pay is $50.25 per hour along with a competitive benefits package and pension.
