Our program is growing and we need qualified candidates for the future.

This is a full time, end dated position consisting of 199 assigned days instructing in the AET certificate program and CNH TopTech apprenticeship program, as well as the AET JD Tech apprenticeship courses.

The successful candidate must have:

• A journey certification in Agricultural Equipment and 2 years post journey experience.
• Experience in a wide variety of current farming equipment.
• Knowledge of precision farming and guidance systems and supporting technical service support programs is essential. New Holland and/or Case certifications are beneficial.
• Have experience delivering and developing online student support material to enhance student learning for AET Saskpolytech students.
• Be adept at utilizing the manufacturers OEM online technical manuals and support systems.

In the role, the successful candidate will be:

• Utilizing the web-based Brightspace learning platform to deliver program course material in person and online, creating supporting course material and training aids as required.
• Delivering courses to students at various start times during the day and weekends.

• Provide instruction to students enrolled in the AET program.

• Design and implement a student-centered learning environment using an outcome-based approach in either a face-to-face or online delivery mode.

• Prepare and deliver lessons, assignments, lectures and demonstrations using principles of adult learning.

• Develop new curriculum, training aids, and materials as needed.

• Use digital tools proficiently, including general office applications.

• Be flexible and responsive to learner needs using varied instructional methods.

• Plan and deliver content and learning activities that reflect the values, beliefs, needs, and contributions of a culturally diverse community.

• Provide appropriate evaluation, assessment, and feedback to students.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA)

A journeyperson in the Agricultural Equipment trade is essential.

You will be required to instruct in all areas of our program and develop program content and supports developing and delivering content in in Brightspace.

1. Grade 12 or equivalent.

2. Interprovincial Journeyperson Certificate in the Agricultural Equipment Technician trade.

3. Two years’ recent/relevant post-journeyperson experience as an Agricultural Equipment Technician.

4. Effective instructional ability.

5. Effective interpersonal skills.

6. Effective communication skills.

7. Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of the internet, email, MS Office Suite software and the ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.

8. Ability to function as a team member in an ever-changing environment.

9. Demonstrates valuing diversity.
