Class A Mechanic or Apprentice

Job Responsibility:

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and eager Apprentice Mechanic to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance. The Apprentice Mechanic will work under the guidance of experienced mechanics, assisting with various tasks while developing their skills in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in diagnosing and repairing vehicle issues under the supervision of senior mechanics.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Help maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
• Learn to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively to identify mechanical problems.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance technical skills and knowledge of automotive systems.
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding vehicle status and repairs needed.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment at all times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Basic understanding of automotive systems is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Good communication skills for interacting with colleagues and customers.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
• Valid driver's license is preferred but not mandatory.

Job Types: Full-time, Apprenticeship

Pay: $25.00-$36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 44 per week
