Staffmax is currently recruiting on behalf of a respected Winnipeg law firm for an experienced Civil Litigation Legal Assistant . This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional seeking a temporary position within a busy and professional legal environment
Location: Donald St Winnipeg, MBEmployment Type: Temporary
Start Date: July 6, 2026
Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour
.Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- 1-hour unpaid lunch break
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal searches, including:
- Companies Office
- Teranet
- Land Titles
- City Tax Searches
- Transcribe dictation accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and draft legal documents and correspondence
- Maintain legal files and filing systems
- Communicate professionally with clients, lawyers, courts, and third parties
- Provide administrative and litigation support as required
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Legal Assistant is required
- Civil Litigation experience is strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of legal documentation and procedures
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
