General Practitioner

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated General Practitioner to join our rural healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide primary medical care services to patients of all ages and backgrounds. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of our community.

Hours of the clinic are Monday to Friday 0830-1700.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct physical examinations and medical assessments- Diagnose and treat common medical conditions- Prescribe medications and treatments- Manage chronic health issues- Provide preventive care and health education to patients- Collaborate with specialists for comprehensive patient care- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health records systems- Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

- Medical degree from an accredited institution- Licensure from the College and Physicians of Alberta (CPSA)- Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC) is granted by the Medical Council of Canada (MCC)

-Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE) Part I and Part II- Two or more years experience in a medical clinical setting- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems- Strong clinical skills in patient care, pediatrics, acute care, and home care- Knowledge of medical terminology and data collection methods- Ability to administer medications safely and effectively- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

-Some sponsorship of supervised and practice readiness assessments are available to candidates.

-Alberta has a "fee for service" collective agreement for physician billing

-competitive split for overhead is in effect.

Pay: $250,000.00-$400,000.00 per year
