(TDMH) Designated Offload Nurse (DON), Registered Practical Nurse

Rural Roads Health Services (RRHS) is actively seeking applicants for a Registered Practical Nurse position in the Medical Surgical Department.The primary location for this position is: Tillsonburg District Memorial HospitalThe duration of this temporary contract would be approximately until March 2028, or sooner as determined by RRHSQualifications Required:Registered Practical Nurse with current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario is required.Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience within a hospital environment is required Minimum of two (2) years of emergency nursing experience is preferred Must possess current B.L.S. certificateMedication administration course completed.Medication administration experience preferredWell-developed Patient Assessment, Intervention and Evaluation skills.Ability to fulfil requirements of full-time shift rotationDemonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize patient care needs.Demonstrated ability to function productively in a very demanding environment.Demonstrated ability to perform duties independently.Demonstrated ability to function productively as a team member in an interdisciplinary setting.Demonstrated knowledge in the usage of various programs such as Cerner, Powerchart and Microsoft Office.Skilled with the interaction of patients and families to provide patient focused, goal oriented care.Ability to demonstrate a commitment to Privacy and Confidentiality.Excellent attendance record and work ethics in previous positions.Proven experience working in a fast paced environment.Able to manage multiple competing priorities.Strong communication skills with a patient centered focus.Other pertinent conditions: Salary per the UNIFOR collective agreement ($39.50 per hour to $40.25 per hour)Applying to this Position:If you meet the above qualifications and are interested in applying for the position, please click on APPLY NOW and submit a resume detailing your qualifications.Must be available to work all shifts as required, which may include; weekends, statutory holidays, days, evenings and night shifts.
