Position Overview

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Vancouver General Hospital is hiring a full‑time oral and maxillofacial pathologist to join a large group of Anatomic Pathologists. This blended clinical and academic role involves diagnostic support, consultative expertise, teaching, administrative duties, quality management and research collaboration with UBC and affiliated programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic laboratory services
• Participate in on‑call roster to meet clinical needs
• Contribute to quality improvement and quality management
• Assist with administrative duties as assigned by the Division or Department
• Engage in academic activities including research projects, educational programs, and other scholarly pursuits

Education, Licensing, and Experience

• Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) or College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia (CDSBC) – Mandatory
• Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) or Canadian Dental Services Plans Inc. (CDSPI) – Mandatory
• Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) or Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (FRCDC) – Preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Canadian Board certification in OMOP
• Good standing as an OMOP fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada
• Eligibility for full licensure with the College of Oral Health Professionals of BC
• PhD with strong publication record and OMOP teaching experience
• Independent sign‑out experience
• Canadian citizenship or permanent residency preferred
