Technical Sales Engineering Intern

Job Responsibility: Position Description: At a Glance Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Sales Engineering Intern to join the Power Bus Way Team in Mississauga, ON. Position Overview: As a Technical Sales Engineering Intern, you will play a vital role in our sales team by assisting with technical aspects of the sales process. You will work closely with experienced Sales Engineers to understand our products, identify customer needs, and support the sales team in delivering tailored solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Technical Support: Provide technical application assistance to engineers and end users, assisting with inquiries and technical requirements.
• Training and Support: Learn from and assist senior sales reps and agent rep firms in respective territories.
• Product Standards and Compliance: Collaborate with in-house engineers and the design team to ensure our products meet industry standards and compliance requirements.
• Relationship Building: Collaborate with senior team members to build and maintain new and current relationships with contractors, distributions, and consultants.
• Technical Presentations: Conduct and participate in technical presentations.
• Market Research: Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to provide valuable insights to the sales team.
• R&D and New Product Development: Participate in research and development discussions and meetings.
• Sales Opportunities: Seek out and follow up on new sales opportunities.

Qualifications: Qualifications :

• A student in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong communication skills in English are required.
• Proficiency in Excel is essential.

Highly Preferred:

• Knowledge of Autodesk software.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience in the electrical industry, either in contracting or engineering disciplines.
• Familiarity with electrical power distribution equipment and related infrastructure
