This position provides basic technical and operational support for the Computers for Success program by receiving, preparing, and distributing computer equipment, which would include but not limited to desktops, laptops, tablets, printers ensuring devices are refurbished, documented, and ready for use by community organizations This position may also be responsible for providing installation and support of Government-owned hardware.

Duties will include but are not limited to: 

• Receive and sort computer inventory;
• Prepare hard drives, SSDs for installation;
• Install operating systems and standard software packages;
• Perform basic hardware diagnostics and replace components;
• Test equipment using defined checklists;
• Prepare equipment for distribution;
• Ensure adherence to ITSS security policies and practices;
• Demonstrate broad technical knowledge and practical expertise;
• Address computer requests effectively and efficiently;
• Enter equipment data into tracking systems;
• Update inventory status and location;
• Lift and move equipment within warehouse and work areas;
• Support on-site setup of computers and peripherals;
• Follow instructions for equipment installation;
• Clean and disinfect equipment and workstations;
• Maintain organized workspace and storage areas;

Minimum Qualifications:

• Completion of a diploma program in computer technology or related field with some training in computer technology;
• Designation of A+ Certification is required;
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software;
• Demonst rated equivalencies will be considered. 
• Ability to follow instructions and apply standard procedures;
• Basic data entry and record-keeping skills;
• Ability to lift and move equipment;
• Attention to detail;

Other Qualifications:

• Experience working with computer equipment or in a warehouse setting;
• Familiarity with common operating systems;
• Valid driver’s license;
