Please note, we are only accepting applicants from the provinces of Ontario and Québec for this role.  For Québec-based candidates, fluency in English is necessary because the position entails collaboration with teams based in the rest of Americas and occasionally in Europe.

In your role as a Senior Solution Architect , you make the impact we have on our customers measurable. You work for leading brands within Valtech and feel at home in a challenging, international environment in which you collaborate with other experts and support them.

A successful Solution Architect  is highly adaptable, shows strong initiative, is able to work independently, has a driving desire to grow professionally towards specific goals, and is energized by working in a team environment. This position requires a focus on client success, client-facing skills and a strong understanding of the project lifecycle and software development lifecycle. You must be a self-motivated individual and take pride in delivering high quality work within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Role responsibilities

• Lead and guide a team on AEM development, deployment, frontend, and backend integration.


• Estimate an Epic, Story, identify dependencies & risks.


• Provide enterprise solutions, taking into consideration development costs, security, performance engineering, application development, and operation management.


• Understanding of Cloud design patterns, cloud operations with hands-on ability to implement best practices and suggest improvements.


• Provide competitive and innovative technical decisions.


• Analyze & provide solutions to different business & technical processes/issues.


• Act as a sales engineer both for new projects and within existing client accounts; assess client requests and propose solutions, estimates and alternatives


• Provide effort estimates and solution approaches for sales scenarios.


• Position solutions and options to client business stakeholders


• Lead development process, solution design and build implementation towards the on-budget, on-time, high quality delivery of client projects.


• Play a direct role in client communications and expectation/scope management.


• Participate in requirements analysis and documentation and development of acceptance criteria.


• Play a senior consulting role for specific areas of domain expertise; working towards industry visibility.


• Work with project and account managers to build project plans and timelines.


• Direct development methodology and play a role of technical leader within the team.


• Contribute to and execute on processes and practices towards delivery excellence, team happiness & client satisfaction.


• Mentor and coach Leads and Senior Developers


• Act as a positive and supportive force within the team.

Must have qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:  

• Client-facing experience 


• Ability to communicate, produce documentation, prepare and lead client sessions, etc. 


• Ability to sell technical concepts, sell our team and our capabilities to business stakeholders 


• Technical architecture


• SME in Cloud Native & Headless Architecture to design, develop & deploy applications 


• SME in AEM (Adobe experience Manager) as Cloud Service and AEM modern Architecture


• CRM/Salesforce/Commerce Integration experience.

Nice to have qualifications  

• Agency Experience 


• Application lifecycle management/ Dev Ops


• Knowledge of ALM tools (Jira, TeamCity, TFS, Git, etc.)


• Knowledge of agile principles – scrum, backlog, etc. 


• Knowledge of TOGAF or other architectural frameworks


• Experience integrating leading ERPs with commerce platforms (SAP, D365, Netsuite etc)


• Knowledge of middleware/iPaaS solutions (Jitterbit, Boomi, Celigo etc


• Experience with Digital Experience Platforms like Optimizely, Adobe Experience Manager

The benefits  

This is a full time position based in Canada. The offered salary range is $120,000 to $170,000annually, depending on experience and location.  

Valtech offers a comprehensive benefits package effective after three months of continuous service:

• A comprehensive insurance plan , where you can choose the module that best suits your needs—Gold, Silver, or Bronze. The employer may contribute up to 80% of your coverage depending on the selected module. This plan includes short- and long-term disability coverage .


• Dialogue via Sun Life provides virtual healthcare services, allowing you to consult with a healthcare professional for emergencies, prescription renewals, and more. You also have access to the Employee and Family Assistance Program , as well as a complete mental health support program .

• A retirement plan where Valtech will match 100% of your RRSP contributions through a Deferred Profit Sharing Plan (DPSP), up to a maximum of 4%. You can start contributing to your RRSP immediately, and to the DPSP after 3 months. The vesting of the DPSP will be after a 24 months of service. 


• Access to a flexible vacation under Valtech's policy to support your work-life balance, with 5 days available during your probation period and a prorated amount calculated for the remainder of the year.


• Personal Technology Reimbursement – $30/month for every employee-offered on day 1. 


• We close during the winter holidays and offer flexible scheduling throughout the year, so you can enjoy those sunny Friday afternoons—provided your weekly hours are completed.
