Salary and Benefits

According to the provincial salary grid ( plus a benefits package that includes subsidized, furnished housing and a Northern living allowance. Moving assistance may also be available.

Qualifications

• Saskatchewan Professional A Teacher's Certificate (or confirmation of eligibility)
• Knowledge and experience applying best practices in instruction, curriculum, environment, and assessment
• Knowledge of First Nations, Metis, and Inuit languages, histories, and cultures
• Demonstrated ability to work well within a team as well as independently

Preferred Candidate

• Familiarity and experience with Northern issues
• Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience
• Minimum of five years of successful administrative experience
• Experience at the elementary, middle, and secondary year level
• Graduate academic training in school administration
• Strong instructional leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Strong commitment to the schools plus / community schools and safe schools concept
