Highwood Emissions Management
Position Details Principal Consultant – Full‑time, permanent. Location: Calgary, Houston, or Remote.
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer.

Mission As Highwood’s most senior technical presence on client accounts, you deliver expert methane measurement, reporting, and strategy. You lead discovery, design solutions, maintain long‑term advisory relationships, and support business growth.
Responsibilities Client Discovery & Solution Architecture Lead senior discovery engagements, help clients understand the full scope of their methane challenge, and translate technical complexity into practical solution architecture.
Design measurement programmes, OGMP 2.0 pathways, reporting frameworks, data infrastructure, mitigation strategy, and the role of EIP.
Scope commercially viable, technically rigorous engagements and create clear handoffs to delivery teams.
Codify repeatable diagnostic and scoping frameworks and strengthen Highwood’s discovery capability.
Return for QBRs, Annual Strategic Reviews, and expansion moments to leverage technical credibility. Senior Relationship & Customer Success Serve as the long‑term senior relationship holder and the client’s face within Highwood.
Own the Customer Success Management Plan for every strategic account, including stakeholder mapping, account health, a 12‑month engagement plan, and renewal ownership.
Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews to demonstrate value and deepen relationships.
Monitor account health proactively and act on early warning signals; own renewals at least 90 days before expiry.
Champion client needs internally to align product, delivery, and strategy. Delivery Oversight & Quality Maintain strategic oversight of delivery, ensuring quality and direction without being hands‑on.
Serve as the final quality authority on deliverables for strategic accounts.
Engage directly on complex components such as regulatory interpretation, measurement methodology, inventory reconciliation, and verification readiness.
Resolve significant client concerns or escalations at the senior level. Thought Leadership & Commercial Collaboration Represent Highwood as a recognized expert at conferences, standards bodies, and in published technical perspectives.
Collaborate with Account Managers to convert market access into scoped, contracted engagements.
Identify emerging regulatory and market developments and advise leadership on responses.
Mentor Staff and Senior Consultants, setting the technical standard for the team. Qualifications 15+ years of relevant experience in oil and gas, emissions management, environmental consulting, or a directly adjacent field.
Deep expertise in methane emissions measurement, quantification, and reporting, including OGMP 2.0, LDAR, top‑down measurement technologies, and inventory reconciliation.
Demonstrated experience with major regulatory and voluntary frameworks such as OGMP 2.0 (Level4/5), EU Methane Regulation (EUMR), MiQ, TCFD, or equivalent.
Track record of leading senior client advisory relationships, with executive-level partnerships.
Ability to translate technical complexity into strategic clarity for non‑technical audiences, including C‑suite and board level.
Commercially aware with experience scoping profitable work and supporting account managers.
Experience with emissions intelligence platforms, data management, or digital reporting tools is a strong asset.
Existing industry relationships and market presence are a significant advantage.
A degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related field; advanced credentials are valued.
