Enhance your legal expertise as an In-House Counsel for a historic family business in Ottawa. Focus on construction and development law while collaborating with a dedicated team. This role reports directly to the General Counsel. You will manage real estate transactions, draft legal documents, and negotiate contracts. A significant emphasis will be on compliance and legal guidance, making it essential to maintain relationships with external legal counsel. Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and negotiate real estate contracts and agreements
- Review and advise on commercial contracts
- Provide legal guidance on compliance and regulatory issues
- Manage real estate transactions effectively
- Track and archive legal documentation
- Law degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum five years of legal experience
- Licensed with the Law Society of Ontario or eligible
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of real estate law
