Civil Project Estimator

About The Role

In this role, you'll prepare accurate cost estimates for a variety of civil construction projects, working closely with project managers, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure competitive and profitable bids.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong estimating experience and a solid understanding of civil construction methods and pricing.

Key Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to determine project scope.
• Prepare detailed estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams throughout the tender process.
• Analyze bids to ensure accuracy, competitiveness, and profitability.
• Research current market pricing and industry trends.
• Maintain organized estimating documentation and cost databases.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil construction estimating.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, and equipment.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet deadlines.
